With car:
From Trieste the border with Slovenia (gate of Scales), follow the border with Croatia (border Pasjak), E61 road towards Rijeka, E65 highway from Rijeka to Split. From Rijeka there is also the possibility of embarking to Split. Ferry from Split to centre of Hvar or Stari Grad (2 hours, every hour).
With ship:
Catamaran or ferry from Split to Ancona by Split and continued to Hvar centre or Stari Grad (average 10 runs per day). Possibility of Ferry directly from Ancona to Hvar centre or Stari Grad. Boarding also from Vasto and Termoli to Hvar centre (is carried out by 'La Rivera')
With plane:
Scheduled Croatia airlines flight from Rome to Split, transfer by bus to the port and ferry to the island. Possibility of charter flights to Split or Zadar depending on city of departure.
